Beached

Laboring away on Labor Day presented myself with the opportunity to visit my favorite place on earth with my family this past weekend into Monday- North Truro on Cape Cod, MA!
We stayed in the Top Mast Resort right on the bay, about a mile from the Wee Bonnie Haven, a cottage in which my family used to spend summer weeks. Until I was probably 17, we would vacation there year after year. North Truro is on the very end of "the arm" of the Cape, right next to Provincetown, my second favorite place!
I read on the beach and accidentally fell asleep! I look like a tomato! Mum and I swam in the ocean and she, myself, Dad and Todd walked up the familiar beach, traipsed around P-town and ate delicious fresh sea food. And we had flippers at the best Portuguese bakery!
Vacationing on a Monday is tricky in the newspaper business, as for my papers it's a day to get a grip on what each correspondent is writing and checking a massive email inbox, sorting and replying. I'm a little bit behind, so far, but it was completely worth it!

  1. What a beautiful place! I've never been there but it looks gorgeous. I hope your tomato-coloring fades soon. Haha. There's a reason why I wear two layers of sunscreen. :)
